That really sucks, 5 hours is miserable. And it’s busy so they pack those elevators.

I think therapy is always a good option depending on the person. But answering for myself, no therapy needed. To echo another comment, I don’t really get upset by patient cases, it’s more the coworkers that get to me. It does take a certain type of person to work in the ED. Like you need to be a person of action, you can’t be sensitive, can’t get hung up on small details, just do what you can, no regrets. Some aren’t cut out for it, but they usually don’t last that long and end up transferring to another unit.
Idk how long she’s been working in the ED, but if it’s been years now then she’s probably fine🤞🏻lol. And IMO it’s pretty normal for healthcare workers in general to not like talking about work when off the clock. But if she’s ranting, then it’s nice to have a listener even if you can’t fully understand. ;)

Yeah it didn’t last long:) 💪🏼

They gotta spread out! I think piefed.social’s getting the hug of death😆

Idk but the mobile app I use, Voyager, has it in the settings
I love this! Do more names! :D

This is a big reason why I love my job lol. Of course you never know what kind of day you’re walking into. Some days can be crazy hectic and you don’t get a chance to yourself. But when it’s a slow shift, it feels like getting paid to do nothing. I love the crapshoot that that is. Though it’s not for everyone, I know plenty of people that hate the workflow/uncertainty aspect.

Omg ickplant it’s so pretty!!💕

I was just complaining about this on vacation where there are busloads of Chinese tourists! If you don’t know, they’re infamous for not queuing lol. I think it’s a learned behavior for “getting ahead.” Like in this example for instance, in a county of over a billion people, you develop this mentality of you have to be aggressive in life or you’re not getting anywhere and everyone else being passive are chumps.

I’ve signed in a different style than what I normally do, just for fun. It feels a bit like forging my signature lol

Yeah you definitely can build a tolerance. I used to think Buldak was pretty spicy (as in so spicy it’s affecting my enjoyment) the first time having it. Now it’s whatever.

Happy New Year! Proud to be a part of this with you all. All the best to everyone for 2026! 🥳🎆🎉
Sometimes when my boyfriend and I want a spicy cuisine, I’ll do the online ordering because I’m the one with the non-white name. He’s convinced they tone down the spice levels when they see his name on the order.😂
Take care of yourself before you care for others😅
