If the game is on GOG there’s no need for a crack, much less a HV bypass.

I’m glad they exist for those who feel like they know what they’re doing well enough to use them, but I never will. No game is worth exposing that level of access.

No manual save and no way to know how much progress you’ll lose if you exit the game was a deal breaker for me, but it seemed like a good game otherwise. All hail voices38!

Nothing is stopping a dev from putting a game on Steam for the exposure, then putting it for sale DRM free somewhere else so they don’t have to pay the 30% cut on those sales (I assume they’d have to at least charge the same as the Steam one, though). I bet the Steam version would make them far more money even with the cut.
