I’ve seen the announcement video on YouTube and have read the site. How can we verify this is legit? It’s a weird announcement after such a long time. Direct download for .exe and .apk looks suspicious.

Lonely Island was peak SNL

I actually prefer this version over the album version. Sure, the sound could be improved here and there. But it’s punkrock in the end. Doesn’t need to be perfect.
Is your friend allowed to poop for the next 3 days?

It’s nice to get frantically screamed at sometimes

Scrolling !youdontsurf@lemmy.world made me laugh. I know it’s stupid, I know it’s simple, but something about it is super fun.

That sounds a lot like RSS.

Obviously a webpage without links is like a fish without a bicycle
The web without links isn’t the web anymore, imho. I visited the textplain blog, but links aren’t clickable. Do they expect me to copy/paste every link? This is a huge step back and reminds me of newspapers and other printed media.
People can try new concepts and, if enough people join in, it becomes normal.
I’m all for trying new concepts, but I hope this doesn’t become normal. Or am I missing something?

Thanks for the advice, I’ll keep that in mind. But I don’t play for efficiency, I play just for fun.

and a happy pacman -Syu to you too

Cyberpunk 2077
I got it on the Steam sale. Runs great on CachyOS without any fiddling in the settings.

That was quite the journey.
First time seeing a dance break in a Mastodon thread. This is nice.
Important words near the end:
The more people come to Mastodon (or the greater Fediverse, etc.) looking for something different, the better their initial experience will be.

As with all fediverse projects, testing happens in public and Bandwagon is definitely at the testing stage. While I don’t like their planned premium features, I think it’s good that there’s something new happening in the federated music space besides Funkwhale.

To me, the very goal of interoperability is not to force you into creating multiple accounts. Big Monopolies have managed to convince people that they need one account on each platform.
I want to have multiple accounts, because I like different interfaces for differences services. I like the PeerTube app and web UI for watching and interacting with video content. I like the Mastodon app and web UI for microblogs. I like Voyager and the PieFed UI for threaded discussions and link sharing. It’s always nice to see comments from Mastodon on PeerTube, or native PeerTube channels on PieFed. But that doesn’t mean I need one account that does everything. It’s good to have options.

I didn’t know about these communities. Thanks for sharing. Could be posted to !communitypromo@lemmy.ca to get some more people to join.

Yep, same here. It happened on all my recent app updates. Seems to be YunoHost-related.

Are dads still like that? The young dads I know are pretty involved in their children’s lives

one of the guides I wrote is about theming PieFed
Uuhh, I somehow completely missed this. Thank you!
I thought it’s always
