He’s also not the leader of the government, China has a Prime Minister, you doofus.     And something you left out is that the party he’s from is literally the communist party of China, which means his party’s special interest group is the people of China. Which is what democracy is. But a party representing and subservient to the people is a foreign concept to people who live in dictatorial countries and have to choose which powerful aristocrat to align themselves with.
