It’s essentially a retraction of a NYTimes opinion article. The original article is absurd though
Sorkin’s idea was to nominate a Republican such as Mitt Romney, who the article states that Sorkin proposed.
Although some voices in the wilderness are suggesting that she nominate an anti-Trump Republican as her VP such as Liz Cheney or Kinzinger to court disaffected Republican voters.
This used to be the norm. Until 1804, the VP was the person who came in second-place in the general election.
