@renwillis@mstdn.social At the moment I’m playing Octopath Traveler from Square Enix. The stories of the characters are a bit lackluster, but the game itself is a very nice hommage to old school JRPG’s.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is on the wishlist, but i’m a little bit afraid of the translation. What I’ve read, is that the translation into English is butchered and horrible. Maybe I should wait a little longer for the updated versions of Suikoden I and II.
@Koetsie@mstdn.social Honestly, both OT and EC having random encounters is such a turn off for me. I’m really enjoying my trails journey and I’ve got Metaphor in my backlog. After OT2, I don’t see myself playing EC. Honestly, I’ve struggled to enjoy most Square games, in general. Preferring Falcom, Atlus, and the indies.
@renwillis@mstdn.social I’m a huge fan of Falcom since the 1980’s. Outside Japan, MSX was also very popular in the Netherlands. I do have Sorcerian for MSX2 in my collection, and to my knowledge, there was an English version of it, made for PC by Sierra entertainment running under MS-DOS.
@renwillis@mstdn.social It has been a while since I’ve played Trails in the Sky II. But Agate is the high HP, high defense tank and can do some serious damage to enemies. It is basicly the opposite of having Schera in your team.
