You shared a fake picture. I know you’re smart enough to do a reverse image search to see that’s a bad Facebook meme. Hawaii counted their votes before calling it for Harris. Predominantly Hawaii is vote by mail or early voting. A simple Google search would show this. But it’s easier to lie when we don’t understand something like that. Next time you want to prove a point don’t post an iFunny link. Besides funny pics was always better

Nov 2024 00.02 EST Harris wins Hawaii Kamala Harris has won Hawaii, the Associated Press reports.

The vice-president’s victory was expected, and she picks up four electoral votes.

        https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2024/nov/05/presidential-election-harris-trump-polls-results-live-updates?page=with%3Ablock-672af2008f08243590db274e#block-672af2008f08243590db274e

And here you can see a chart of when votes came in, in the “share of expected vote reported” chart. First results came in at 538am EST. Race had been called at midnight with 0% counted. 6pm Hawaii local time. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/11/05/us/elections/results-hawaii-president.html

I guess if you want to be a jerk and call this fake it doesnt really matter, but you’re still talking out your rear and are just wrong.

Polls closed and based on early poll counting, early mail in votes that were COUNTED, and previous election history AP called the race for Harris. The chart saying 0 doesn’t mean they didn’t count votes. Don’t share stupid pictures and maybe people will be nicer to you.

The results from the poll — along with our analysis of early voting and other statistics — confirm our expectation that longstanding political trends in these states will hold,” said David Scott, a senior editor who helps oversee AP’s coverage of elections.

Still, the AP won’t call the winner of a race before the last polls close in a jurisdiction, including in states where the polls don’t all close at once.

Oh no is that the explanation AP gave for calling races early. They look at early vote counts and use polling data, and then based on historical trends call it if it’s within a certain range. But what does AP know about calling elections. They only have a 99.9% track record.
