I can’t tell you how many times, in my normal office job, we talked about how much we hate people who take a long time to finish uni. It’s literally all we talk about. There are days we get so little work done because we spend so much time talking about hating this one very specific group of people.

This one is real. When I was at work, I was the one driving the conversations. “Hey Chad, yesterday we reached a nice consensus about how everyone here hates people living with their parents. But I think we could expand a little bit by adding how much people who take a long time to finish uni are despicable. Yes Stacy? This is also something that bothers you constantly? Would you like to share your disgust?”

    Guaranteed true and straight 💯

Sorry I don’t use the /s tag. I hope it would be obvious. Have a nice day anyway!

Unless of course you took one extra year or more to finish uni. 😡 I will address that issue at length, starting with [blah blah]

Some people bother so much with the life of others, instead of finding enjoyment in their own lives.

Why do you care how long someone took to finish college? How does it impact you if someone still lives with his parents?

It’s a greentext that is very fake and designed to get the emotions of NEETs and people who still live with their parents up. While there might be very few people who despise NEETs, this is absolutely not a topic that is “all they talk about”.

I could picture it actually happening. I used to work with a bunch of people who constantly, for years, talked about how much they hated Northerners and people who had been to college.

It doesn’t. Some people are just assholes who have to criticise others to feel better.

If there isn’t anything to act angry or to make fun about, they make shit up. It’s crazy.

Doesn’t them having a job disqualify them from being NEETs?

That is what the second E stands for.

I think that was a list of three things: neets, people who take a long time, and people living with their parents.

Because being in uni also disqualifies NEET status (Not in Education, Employment, or Training, so unemployed and not trying to gain skills to get employed)

If this happened, which it didn’t because it’s just anon’s fictional insecurity playing out over their computer screen, then this would be an extreme display of their coworkers’ insecurity over their place in the world. You don’t exist to work. Work exists in service to your desire to live in human society and nothing else.

But maybe I don’t desire to live in this society, there is just no other option because they will take away my things and lock me up or kill me if I try to defend them. Freedom isn’t even an option, but whatever this is is still a bit less shit than a cell.

      • Then learn to forage or farm and steal a plot of land out in the forested boonies. Or join a commune. Or move to another country with your belongings. Or or or or etc.

Your choices aren’t just jail or death, and whoever led you to believe that likely had a vested interest in your distress or compliance

When my colleagues are being bigots, I try to tell them some personal experience, because that’s what they respond best to. Sadly, they often conclude that I’m one of the good ones and their bigotry is generally valid. I just hope that with enough examples of “good ones” in their mind, they’ll remember one without me having to push back.
