Seattle resident for 10 years here, I sold my car 5 years ago and I don’t really miss it.
I was paying $275/month for parking alone, and the car was only worth $4k, it felt insane to pay that much.
I’m lucky to have access to decent bus service, and light rail is good and expanding.
For some awkward trips I will use Uber, and when I need to travel further then I rent a car, but the total cost of this is much less than the cost of parking a car.
