Hello, can you sanity check my build? The case and the video card are already bought.

I am going to mostly use it for TV and VR gaming.

Any concerns here? I am slightly worried about the AIO 280mm fitting in the case.

    I only have time for a quick skim, but the liquid freezer is a really thick AIO and it’s worth making sure it’ll fit thickness-wise in your case. Even if other 280mm rads fit, the arctic may not cuz it’s ~1cm thicker than most. Awesome cooler tho, def a good choice if it’ll go in there

      Yup, I did some more digging, and it seems that without modding, it wouldn’t be a good fit for the TR100. I went with the Thermaltake TH280 Ultra EX instead. Thanks!

    It’s unlikely, but just to be on the safe side I would grab a different brand motherboard. Earlier this year there was a non-insignificant number of x3d chips failing with ASRock boards. If you stick with the ASRock make sure you update your bios

      I haven’t watched it but GamersNexus put up another video on the AsRock/X3D situation this week, so I would assume it’s still ongoing and therefore second the recommendation to go with another brand.

        Thanks for the tip. I was worried about this, but I thought it was fixed, as stated by ASRock. After watching Gamers Nexus, I’ll go with the safer option and choose another brand!

    I would swap out the 990 Pro for the cheapest name brand SSD you can find. No reason to have a fancy SSD for gaming.

    280mm AIO should fit just fine, check the specs section for your chassis.

    For memory, 5600Mhz is what is guaranteed to work for that CPU. Most samples will be able to run faster, beyond 6600Mhz is where the risk of problems starts to increase, I’ve been using 6600Mhz CL32 for my 9800X3D builds. I recommend running Memtest86 anytime memory is faster than what the CPU is guaranteed to support.
