Moving an armchair because your house flooded and inadvertantly allowing your mixed breed terrier to scale it and access the guinea pig enclosure while you are out at a Christmas Eve party also ends badly. For the guinea pigs anyway, the dog thought it was the best Christmas ever. My other dog tried to join in and just ended up stuck in the rabbit enclosure below and I found them all chilling in there together when I got home, so I’m not sure if he thought the whole adventure was good or bad.

I see you’ve experienced a similar trauma. I was in primary school, got home and the dog had dug under the enclosure. Thankfully I didn’t see the aftermath, my dad had cleaned it up but I went from 3 Guinea pigs and a rabbit to none.

Funnily enough while the dogs saw the guinea pigs as prey they treated the rabbits like slightly odd dogs and cooexisted quite well with them.

Aww they’re adorable though. They’re so funny, they can grow on you! I took one when my friend moved overseas and I could talk for ages about how Neville was.
