A three-year-old cat is now in foster care after it was listed for £30 by the seller.

    Just sounds like a sad situation really…

    I had a cat that had been an outdoor cat for years. When we moved to a place where it couldn’t be let out, it just couldn’t handle it. Always tried to escape, pissed everywhere, was just not having it. So we had to find a new home for it. I think we put the price at the equivalent to €70. Not because we wanted the money, but because a price tag usually means the new owner will be a bit more invested in it, since there is some “value” or whatever. Ended up delivering it 2 hours drive away to a very sweet family.

      Because selling an unwanted cat to anyone for £30 might not be what’s best for the cat. If they couldn’t care for the cat anymore the best thing they could have done would be work with an animal shelter to rehome the cat.
