And this is our fundamental disagreement. No action I could take would have stopped the US’s support of the genocide.

However there was 1 action that I chose to take that could have prevented those murders. You chose in-action resulting in more deaths

Genocide is only inevitable because a huge swath of people like you agree that it is something that isn’t too important to fundamentally change.

Incorrect, it needs to change. I didn’t have the power to change it in the moment. There was only one of two outcomes my vote could influence that day. The good option was nonexistent

That’s why I said “huge swath of people like you”. In groups, we have the power to solve these issues, but instead, you would rather make a choice between murderers and blame those who don’t want murderers in charge at all

It’s happening in another country on the other side of the planet, champ. Contrary to what you may believe, the U.S. isn’t world police. We don’t stop genocides in other countries with the wave of a hand or cast of a vote.

The genocide was happening with Kamala or Trump. Trump gives it two big thumbs up. Those who didn’t vote or voted 3rd party gave Trump the permission to make an already bad situation way worse for Palestinians.

Without US money and US bombs, the genocide couldn’t continue.

Contrary to what you believe, the US is in fact trying to be world police and are succeeding in that mission. 128 military bases in 55 countries. Russia has military bases in 12 other countries and China has 3. The UK has 13.

      you helped ice murder

      You chose in-action

If inaction is “helping,” then rest assured that I helped Kamala get elected and am prepared to do so again.

I don’t care if you think it’s “MAGA level logic.” As I said, I don’t give a shit if you think I’m acting irrationally or that I’m a bad person. I know that I’m not.

The fact of the matter is that the only recourse you have is to demand policy concessions to my side if you want to win. Support a centrist and you’ll get another Trump. I’m “irrational,” right? So it doesn’t matter what words you say to try to convince me. Give me what I want (ending the mass slaughter of innocents) or we all go down together.

Wow we’ve just moved on to full MAGA logic with that one.

You know the funniest thing is you assume we’re on different sides. We’re likely not. I acted on harm reduction. I want less dead people, but apparently you want more:

Give me what I want (ending the mass slaughter of innocents) or we all go down together.

Do you think it’s more effective to try to convince anti-genocide people to become a bit more okay with genocide rather than joining their side and remove both ICE murder and genocide together?

Why do you assume that’s not what I want?

I just didn’t see that option on the ballot

Harm reduction the day we get to the ballot, rest of the days to changing the system. I’d rather face shitty choices that move us 1 step back or keeps the status quo than to allow a madman the reigns. Things were shit before, they are worse now. It may take a decade to even get back to where we were let alone progress.

This is assuming non-violent options of course

I wonder if Palestinians, whose situation is way worse with Trump at the helm, give a flying fuck about your “clear” conscience.

I created an account just to say this: I am Palestinian, believe it or not, and to me and everyone I know, American presidents are all the same.

I don’t think that Trump is in any way better than any other candidate would have been, but I don’t care if you’re polite about committing genocide like the democrats want it to be or if you’re full on honest about committing genocide. The outcome is the same to me, I just want it to stop, "less bad“ isn’t enough.

Please don’t use Palestinians as a token for your agenda, because we don’t support it.

And now I’ll abandon this account again even though I’m very proud of the name

              selfish

I’d say this is a revealing word, except that you already openly admitted that you think American lives are inherently more valuable than those of foreigners.

But it’s revealing because it shows that you are fundamentally incapable of seeing Palestinians as human beings. You are therefore only able to conceive of my position as some kind of “pet cause,” that is exclusively about me and my feelings. The reality is that my position comes from a place of selflessness, of placing the lives of the marginalized victims of my country above my own concerns and interests. But in your mind, the lives of Palestinians have no value except insofar as an American, a human, cares about them.

You are a disgusting fascist that has no value to contribute to the discussion, you are my enemy and our goals are fundamentally opposite. Unlike you, I believe that all people are created equal. The only problem you have with Trump is that he doesn’t respect decorum, on every other point his actions are completely consistent with your chauvinistic values.

I only have three more words to say to scum like you: Follow Your Leader.
