Welcome back friends. How long was the outage? Felt like a good few days
About 3-4 days. We had some issues before that required restarting the server remotely, and on one of this restarts it got stuck in an unclean state that couldn’t be fixed remotely.
Seems like ip-kvm might help next time 🤞
I will use this as a reminder to back up my account so the next time it goes out I can migrate if needed

In your account settings page, there’s a section for importing and exporting your profile:
Exporting it will give you a JSON file that contains your saved posts/comments, community subscriptions/block, user blocks, and instance blocks.
That file can then be imported into any other Lemmy (or even Piefed! It’s compatible ^^) instance, bringing all those things with you :)
The only thing that cannot be exported are your own comments and posts.
