Well do you disagree with this?

Do you not support Russia and instead recognise that Ukraine are the victims?

I recognise Ukrainians as victims of US manipulation. I’ve no love for the Russian regime, but understanding the events that lead up to the war help me to recognise why Russia invaded and how it could have been avoided.

Subscribing to the idea that Russians are evil and want to take over the world simply opens you up to further manipulation by US hegemony, and will result in you supporting yet more wars that aren’t in your interest.

If your political analysis can be distilled into a four point compass then you are not a serious person.

The idea is simple; no one should have invaded Ukraine.

Russia has zero right to invade a neighbouring country because they didn’t like something , that is imperialism.

I think a civil war on their border that risks spilling over into their territory and threatened their economic relationship with neighbouring EU gives them plenty of reasons to intervene. Especially since they had been actively trying to end the conflict by negotiation with Ukraine for near on a decade, but whose negotiated treaties (the 3 Minsk agreements) kept being violated by Ukrainian fascist paramilitaries.

That isn’t imperialism. It’s the actions of a rational actor and was entirely predictable, especially because Russia consistently stated their intentions throughout.

So a lot of words for “yes, I agree with you, your compass is spot-on”, then?
