I can’t get rid of it, it’s obnoxious. I’ve tried filtering the element with my adblocker but it keeps reappearing. As much as I find Reddit useful (unfortunately), especially for information and discussion relating to my country, I will never install their proprietary garbage app on my phone just to use their website.

Oh well. I’ve used the Internet before Reddit existed, I’m sure I can get used to doing so again.

    Welcome.

    Isn’t it amazing how Reddit was this beautiful community, genuinely useful and welcoming to millions, and now it’s being thrown away, soiled, emptied out, on the pathetic whims of some selfish billionaire owner?

        I second this.

        I was banned from a community for infringing a rule that didn’t even exist in both the community ruleset and as part of the ToS.

        Trying to talk there is like permanently checking that you don’t enter into wrongspeak territory like in 1984.
