The United States will do everything in its power to maintain the Monroe doctrine even if it means destroying a so-called Ally into pieces to gobble it up. This shouldn’t be viewed as propaganda this should be viewed as every Canadians worst nightmare. The CIA of the United States will happily use its tools to do what they did throughout Central and South America.

Me saying the United States government is capable and all powerful is me saying I support it? I stand by that the USA will get all this done. I stand by that Americans will be better of at the expense of the rest of the world. And it’s disgusting Americans think as long as their lives improve others can suffer!

People not from the US are often more educated on the US political system than a lot of Americans.
It’s got truthiness, I’ll give you that. But there aren’t any facts to back it up.
I know that it’s not natural for Americans to seek out information but just look at any vox pop asking people from other countries about US politics and you’ll see.
Most of the rest of the planet is exposed to your culture, and sometimes gets bombed or killed because of US decisions, so we usually know.
Yeah, it makes a lot of people really educated on the slaver’s college, the Constitutional language that essentially creates two parties, why liberal isn’t an insult, and half a dozen other things that render them perfectly qualified to instruct Americans on proper political campaigning. Because, after all, they’ve seen a California swimsuit model.
The excuses usually boils down to one of these two:
“I’d do something, but I work and I need money”
“I’d do something, but I don’t work and I need money”
Because sure, having enough money would definitely make you want to change things 🙄

Yeah, as a Canadian seeing multiple media reports of businesses hurt by the lack of Canadian tourists along border states, it’s frustrating to hear most of them blame it on us.
“We’ll be there when you’ll be ready to come back!” But they never address why we’re not going anymore.
At least the comments are filled with Canadians telling them exactly why we won’t go back before they at least fix their shit, if we ever go back.

Honestly america needs to pump the brakes economically. The rapid expansion has turned everything that made one part of the country unique from the rest into stroads. It’s all bloated and thoughtless. Someone posted this meme today and I think maybe a decade of economic consolidation could bring back the bodegas and diners that gave america a lot of it’s culture.
As an American I’ll gladly accept this criticism, provided it’s coming from a French citizen.
So everybody else needs to shut the fuck up. Of course Americans would want to limit criticism of people they think lesser. Just because I’m not as articulate or people misconstrue my words, I need to sit here and be quiet. The freedom of speech only belongs to those who have accomplished Oh, so much like the billionaires! I love and respect Canada (I’m actually a dual American and Canadian citizen), but before you go throwing the perverbial stones, recognize that there’s a better than not chance that your fellow citizens wouldn’t do much different at this stage than us Americans. And that’s not shade, most of the world wouldn’t either. It’s a select few people who’ve proven they can protest their way out of danger. The rest of us, we’re all figuring it out.
Except we did, didn’t we. We were inches away from having a Trumpian leader, and we managed to pull back from the brink. Granted, the guy we did elect is… not the best outcome, but we did manage to unite enough to keep the lunatics from taking over the asylum AND he’s at least doing a decent job of countering the orange toddler and his goons. We’d be in a lot worse shape if we hadn’t united to hold the line when we did.
Besides, if you want to see a country that knows how to take down a fascist from within, don’t ask France, ask Spain. They’re the ones that know what resistance looks like in this case.

But with all due respect, I’m not sure recent Canadian election results are quite the analog to those French and Spanish resistances we’re talking about. The US did elect Biden in 2020 and the popular vote was against Trump in 2016; both similar to the Canadian 2025 election in my opinion.
No other country has the 2nd amendment. No other country excuses school shootings by saying guns are needed to reign in our government. Then when I suggest bringing guns to protests as a leftist WHICH IS OUR RIGHT, I get banned and lambasted.
The USA government refuses to change the right to carry guns, but then the same us government employees flip out when they see guns. Federal employees should be the ones so comfortable around guns because that’s our main right to keep them in line.
