Canadian here. Haven’t turned on heating in a year and a half at least. Sitting beside an open sliding glass door and currently considering turning on a fan. It’s almost 9pm.
But that was abnormal. When I was a kid in PA there would be snow by Halloween, and come december you expected snow to stay until march. There were occasional exceptions, like 60 degrees in februrary, or 100 something in mid summer, but those were like once a decade events. Now we barely have snow that lasts more than like a couple weeks before it gets warm enough to melt everything.
Holy fuck. So this is the start of Super El Nino. I’m gonna call it, “winter that wasn’t”.
I already didn’t get a winter last year. It was 60°F almost the entire time 🫠

In Canada!?
Yes, Canadians experience 9PM too. They didn’t used to, but a Supreme Court decision clarified the matter in 2017.
Before that, we used to call it “The Dark.”
Where in Canada? Maybe I’ll treat it like a Miami beach visit or something.
wintern’t
Winter is not coming.
The Winter of 2000 was also like this. We were working on our cars with t-shirts, in Minnesota, and it was 42-50(something) a lot of the winter.
