Lmao they think I have kids.
…actually now that I think about it for 5 seconds I think they just love defrauding advertisers.
Seems to only work on Amazon.com. My .ca info isnt shared. It says the following though:
"Make Amazon even more personal to you
Your other AI assistants have learned about you. Bring that knowledge here for an even more personalized experience."
I think I’ll go chuck my computer and iot devices into a dumpster now.
You know, I’m actually kindof proud that Amazon figured this out about me…

About you We haven’t saved anything yet.
Phew.
Honestly I am not surprised at all that they have this. I’m more surprised that this information became public, but with AI I suppose it was inevitable.
They probably should have made customer-facing descriptions more-flattering.
“Likely lives in City, State”
Birch you ship everything I’ve ever ordered to the same address.
- Likely favors ZigBee smart home protocol
- Plays video games across multiple platforms
- Consistently repurchasing specialty food staples
- Likely has outdoor space
Though it definitely gets a lot of other things wrong, like the number of kids I have.
They think I own a cat, LOL. It’s actually 3 ferrets 🦦 stupid computers
What is a “specialty food staple”?
“Maintains consistent snacking preferences” the most specific one “Owns rasps” If it really got me, it would call me out on what I usually use Amazon for… Last minute project stuff.
“Systematically building electronics laboratory.”
That’s so nice nicer than saying I’m constantly trying and failing at my hobbies as I realize how little I know and how ill prepared I am for my ambitions.
Same here with “likely prefers specialized tools for specific tasks” rather than “hyperfocuses on a new hobby every month and convinces themselves to buy the pro tool 9000 because they will absolutely not leave it collecting dust this time”
Awwws
Mine is pretty boring. Honestly, I imagine Amazon has a much deeper profile for us hidden away and this is the one they wanted us to find to diffuse our suspicions of being constantly spied on… Seriously, I bet me TV knows more about me than that list.
I don’t think it’s that elaborate of a conspiracy. The “deeper” profile “hidden away” is just not in plain English. They probably had to do extra processing to produce the neat human interpretable data. I’m guessing the real purpose of this is getting the humans to look at it and correct the mistakes because a lot of people are dumb enough to do just that.
Home and family: Has working nodes
Hell yeah, I’ll take that assumption
They got so much wrong it’s hilarious.
About the only thing they got right is that we have chickens and like comfy clothing, and one mention based on a five year old review. Literally everything else was junk.
“Has a cat”
Ha ha bitches, I have TWO cats! Suck it big data, you LOSE!
Datapoint updatedMine says “Owns a cat” and “Has a dog”
Which is wrong because it’s two cats and two dogs, but also I feel they are making value judgments about the pets. Isn’t the trope that you own dogs and have cats?
Since no one is linking the page and I had to go hunt it down myself: https://www.amazon.com/slc/hub?useAiMode=1
Mine doesn’t have anything interesting, probably because I avoid using Amazon if possible.
We use Amazon way too heavily and my page was still super boring.
