According to Automotive News, a September survey published by the think tank Clean Energy Canada showed that 48 percent of respondents want an EV as their next car. And now that Canada will be allowing some Chinese EVs into the market, close to half of those potential customers are willing to wait for them.

Closer to 8, once you factor in the in-town driving, yes.

Living in Northern BC sucks, that round trip every 2-6 months saves me a stupid amount of money on groceries and essentials, even factoring in fuel/charging, though a hotel would eat into those savings pretty bad.

I also do this a few times a year with my PHEV, but for my next car, I’m still considering a 100% EV, and maybe rent an ICE for my 2 or 3 longer trips.

Spending 8 hours in a car rather than working 8 hours is questionable financially, so I try to combine vacations with doing useful things, and most of my trips include a vacation part and a useful part. Nothing wrong with taking a few days off each year by extending weekends. Only you know your exact numbers of course. Ok I’m out now. This is all I can do here. Cheers.

While I get your point, these drives are either on my days off, or I use a paid leave to do the trip, so either way it doesn’t affect my paycheque
