A long time ago, I ran a server called Laterally Unplayable 2… a 9 tile wide map. Now that Space Age 2.1 is out, it’s time to give it one more go… this time IN SPACE! Server’s public.
Update: Recyclers unlocked. We have ships available for the inner planets. Current task: Find Yumako, and get advanced asteroid processing researched! We may have to pave the world of Gleba in the process.
Does the map width apply to space platforms as well? Narrow platforms would probably have done better in 2.0 but I suspect you could still get to endgame alright with pencil ships even if they sail a little slower.
Nope, and that’s where the current meta is going… we’re eventually making a fleet of space factories
I like orbital space factories. Kinda wish we could barrel up fuel to make that on my orbital factory though but at least fuel production takes much less space than asteroid collection and crushing.
Most likely looking at 3 different platform types:
Static factories - pretty self explanatory
Resource miners - speed isn’t too important, efficient fuel usage and devour as many rocks as possible
Transporters - fast and high cargo capacity
So your telling me that in the endless void of space, the pilot of that ship managed to smack directly into that spec of dirt? Survival is a lost cause I am afraid.
I guess that’s one way to force people to play with a main bus.
Man, can you imagine þe sushi belt?
It is so narrow can you show some photos of factory there?
Is this some kind of sky block? /s
