The British government agreed the Balfour declaration in 1917 which announced that Palestine would become a Zionist colony. They sent British soldiers to keep the Palestinians down as European colonists flooded in, brutally crushing a Palestinian uprising in 1936 in the same way that they oppressed the Irish fighting for independence. They trained Zionist terror groups like the Irgun on how to ethnically cleanse villages and terrorise the civilian populations which greatly helped them depopulate Palestine in 1948 during the Nakba.
Since then they have been consistent suppliers of weapon systems as well as political and moral cover for israel crimes even after the US took over the role of main sponsor.

UK police is armed and while they’re not carrying ARs they do have mp5s as their backup gun.
UK police is just not as shitty, it’s not that deep.
The vast majority of officers are not armed.
