I am intrigued enough to throw 5 bucks at this to see how I like it. I loved Erenshor, the single player MMO, more than I thought I would so this sounds fun.

That’s literally the point I’m making. In some places it is common place to see streamers broadcasting in public, and I’ve seen plenty of videos of not as obvious streaming as well. This will continue that trend, and the question is whether we pass laws to change that. The technology only makes it more accessible.

Here’s the problem, it’s not doing anything people already couldn’t and weren’t doing, it’s just making it a lot easier and making it more widely available. Honestly it’s the exact same issue with “AI”, every bad aspect about it was already being done with existing LLMs, they were just the domain of a much smaller subset of people.

I want this to be true so much that I’ve decided to believe it even if it isn’t. Holy shit, I understand religion now!

I have been working with LLMs for decades. I know what they can do and what they can’t. I admit they have grown in leaps and bounds in the last few years because of the hype, but therein lies the issue: there is still way too much hype, it’s not the end all solution some think it is, it’s driving up hardware prices, the environmental impact is horrendous, and it’s a new bullshit business marketing term that serves only to artificially inflate stock prices. “Agentic” is the new “data driven”.
