The article is talking macroeconomics, you’re talking microeconomics. Two different worlds.

This thread must be mind-blowing for Americans.
there is zero indication current policy will be adjusted in any meaningful way to to provide any relief for working people.
Just a reminder that Biden has been working overtime to provide student debt relief the entire time he’s been in office. Republicans have been working overtime to block it.
Student debt shouldn’t even exist. We need more education, not less.
Seriously, the US is just embarrassment upon embarrassment upon embarrassment these days.
Your error: Voting for a person, not policy. There.
Don’t know about you, but I vote for policy, not a person. But you do what a lot of Americans do, vote for a personality, and that’s why Americans seem significantly dumber than the average world citizen.
Trump is 3 years younger. Biden may outlive him by 10 years for all we know.
his voice was weak, he stumbled over making coherent sentence multiple times, and he just had a blank, open-mouthed stare when between questions.
And apparently that matters more than the blatant lies and non-answers coming from the other side. Gotta say, Americans do seem significantly dumber than the average world citizen.
I hope Biden will take this opportunity as the new king and show Republicans that this is a two-way street.
Independents and moderates are moving between the two equally for different reasons. Plenty of reasons why moderates despise Trump at the moment.
Not gonna happen. Also, the debate won’t make any difference. People made up their minds a long time ago on Biden vs Trump they are clearly not budging no matter what happens with the candidates. Only if they fall over dead will they be replaced.
I think Biden has done a very good job, but I’d be more excited to vote for Gretchen Whitmer or Gavin Newsom or Josh Shapiro.
it doesn’t matter because I don’t live in a swing state.
Not true. It absolutely does matter.
There’s probably no difference. People made up their minds on Biden vs Trump a long time ago and nobody’s budging. Debate is not going to make any difference either.
The Republican Party has been mired in scandal for years but has lost no support. People are in their trenches.
The dude didn’t say a word for decades. Now he has a loud opinion about literally everything. I wonder what he’s thinking about my new tube socks or the lunch I had two days ago. I’m sure he’ll let me know.
Either way it seems right now you need a hard reset.
Yet, half the country seems to be choosing to go back to Trump. There’s no cure for stupid.
Trump is the insane one.
That shows “President Joe Biden has lost no immediate ground to Trump,” per Morning Consult’s findings.
The vast majority of voters made up their minds long ago. The Republican Party has been in disarray for several year without losing significant support. This debate with not be much different for the Democrats. People aren’t budging.
There may be a few moderates and independents who could still move, but there’s plenty of awfulness to turn off independents on the Republican side as well.
My god, the orange bafoon handled it so much better
Yeah, if you completely ignore anything that came out of his mouth. His sentences very maybe more coherent, but the content was certainly awful.
Sure, college education should just be a part of the regular public education system like it is in Europe. More education is a boon for the individual, society, and the economy.
