  • had sinusitis one year. really bad.

after a full course of antibiotics I blew my nose and the plug popped. it was so satisfying to not have that lodged in my sinus cavity. but then…suddenly… a hot rush ran out of my brain. thankfully I still had a tissue in my hand. a bright highlighter yellow liquid began rushing out of my nose. it was unstoppable.

at least half a cup of this foul liquid poured from my face. the whole time the euphoric sensations I was experiencing was honestly better than sex. the relief, the lack of pressure, everything was amazing. the most peculiar sensation was my vision was like I was being stretched out in a black hole. my arms and legs were barely controllable. my balance was steady only because of the wall I was leaned against.

  • it’s because all these major service providers are desperately attempting to inject AI into their operations without a goal in mind. they’re literally just throwing money at the wall and wishing something will stick.

at my current employer they are mandating AI be used by every department. didn’t say how or what the goal was, just “use it or get fired”. last year it became a KPI.

so far this year, we’re $13m behind projected goals. labor is down 15% because we stopped hiring people. productivity is down 30% because the ones that remain are getting burnt out by the increased workload.

I have hourly techs tell me they are being encouraged to work off the clock.

2026 is going to be worse than 2025, even if the bubble pops.

  • wtf is a dev drive?

    wsl what?

    you mean putty?

    wsl what??

WSL is inherently flawed because it isn’t fully integrated with the kernel. WSL is literally an abstraction layer of linux that sits on top of the existing windows device. it’s no better than cygwin. microslop developed a way to run VMs and mount the whole c drive inside it, that’s WSL in a nutshell.

after doing some light research, it seems a dev drive is just a special file mount inside the linux abstraction layer.

    all I can say…
