I keep seeing people say “this is AI” about images and video that are extremely obviously photoshops and other “manual” edits. And that’s fucking scary, IMO.
How are they so unable to differentiate a shitty edit from AI? It’s completely different. No AI image or video I’ve ever seen has looked like a bad photoshop, CGI etc. The way AI stuff looks has a different thing to it, even really bad AI. And I fucking hate AI of all kinds, just to be clear.

No, AI doesn’t make stuff look badly photoshopped. You’re doing the “it AI!” shit for things that are VERY obviously not AI and it’s not a good thing. I seriously don’t understand how you’re so dumb that you can’t see and understand the difference.

Nice! I’m from and still live in the same city that Mullvad is from. See people with Mullvad and other privacy, foss etc. stickers on their bags around town pretty often. Just a few days ago I saw a dude with a white hard cover backpack with a huge Mullvad sticker in the middle and a “Make Orwell fiction again” sticker right below it, I had to compliment him on it and we had a chat for a bit about the fediverse and other stuff!

Edit: ooh, forgot that there was Mullvad ads on the trams and tramstops all over the city a while back, was awesome to see something local you actually like and support like that!

There are no controllers, no matter the price point, with touchpads like this, capacitive thumb sticks etc. And the stuff you can do with Steams controller settings is WAY beyond any other controller software.

What do you mean “if”? All the features have been shown and they are all there, even some more than the deck has. They were all shown for It’s announcement, literally the very first moment everyone heard about it.

Agreed, I’ve tried all the ones mentioned so far and some others but Summit is the only one that doesn’t have annoyances and drawbacks for what I want.

I stayed with sync until I was forced to switch due to bugs and missing features, I tried all alternatives I could find and settled on Summit. Highly recommend, it has a ton of options and both looks and feels great to use.

They’re not common in Europe at all.

Hard to beat apples magic trackpad, works very well on Windows and Linux too with some nice apps for added features. It’s discontinued though but easy to find second hand.

Specifically American boomer, and something that’s still going on. There was a thread here on lemmy a while ago that was about how american culture is very different from much of the world in terms of how much the father does in the things mentioned here. That a lot of the world have had it kinda even for many decades and some places even centuries.
