Sea of Stars.
I’m listening to the soundtrack right now and it’s awesome. The story is decent and the graphics and design are top notch. It was so captivating that I pretty much didn’t play anything else while I was working through the game.

Paprika asking the spicy questions we didn’t know we needed the answers to!
I should have said $79.99 CAD, not freedom bucks.
This is my problem with Ghosts of Tsushima… It’s already 4 years old. I’m not willing to pay 80 bucks for a game either way, but definitely not a 4 year old game!
That’s cool, I can see your points. You’re right in that the story in Horizon 4 was totally like a weird power fantasy or something more than a real story. It was so bad…
I gotta say after playing Forza Horizon 4, the last thing I need is more story in a driving game. I just want to drive around and race. I don’t care about being some up and coming racer or something. Just shovel in some lame story to keep the game part moving along and I’d be happy.
Gotta try to change people’s minds or nothing will change! I try to keep my convincing people to irl conversations generally though.
It’s hard to change someone’s mind when it’s clear there are other problems like actually reading, reading comprehension, willingness to change, etc.
The person didn’t even read the article and then goes on to make empty pedantic arguments in the comments…
Poor FrostyTheDoo trying to have an actual discussion with a wall in the comments above.
I did not know that! Thank you for the achktually, I love the history of songs ;)
Come to think of it I’ve heard that song by Pete Seeger and never made that connection somehow until now. Double thanks!
They sing a lot about workers rights and unions, maybe you are joking. “Boys on the Docks” is almost what you’re after, but not saying directly to join a union.
Ken: It’s brand new. It’s about my grandfather, John Kelley. He organized most of the union workers down on the fish pier.

Also, their song “Which Side Are You On” starts with the lyrics:
Our father was a union man, Some day I’ll be one too.
Amen to this…or just say fuck it and break out the screwdriver
Fitting victory number for a nazi…
I totally forgot about that! I think I remember a friend doing this with a NES and SNES.
I still have never seen the movie, but Dead Man has a great soundtrack by Neil Young. Guitar Solo, No 5 is my favorite track if you just check out one:
Pilling is when the fabric forms little balls on it like this:
Not sure if you are in Canada, but MPG pants have worked out well for me. They are hella expensive if you don’t get them on sale, but wait for sales and sign up for their email to get 10-15% off the sale price too. I’ve gotten a few pairs for less than $40 and they seem like good quality. No significant pilling yet on 3 different styles.
This looks hella fun!
It’s ok, rereading your comment I see what you mean more about the roleplay aspect not being there. You aren’t wrong… I’d say the roleplaying in these style of games is mostly in which characters you use the most.
“Role playing games” is a pretty broad reaching term with many aspects. Some are just lighter on the choices or character customization is all. These games are more about the story and level/skill progression.
Sea of Stars definitely fits that mold you are talking about, not a ton of roleplaying in the making choices sense. It is a great game though, I’d say it’s my favorite of the year.
