California was working on a bullet train (California is pretty big, bigger than Japan). The politics killed it and then they ran out of money, so they gave up.
The US can barely keep bridges from falling apart. The roads are equally as bad. But we can definitely spend money on ball rooms and bombs.

Google, for example, credited AI for 50% of its code in its latest earnings report. Block’s head of engineering, at the company’s November investor day, said 90% of the company’s code submission was authored “partially or fully with AI support”.
What could possibly go wrong?

Thanks for keeping it going as long as you did! I know the overhead was more than nothing, and since you likely won’t get a raise anytime soon, I guess we can allow a break. ;)
I do agree, it’s getting harder to come up with new ideas. We’ll have to get creative.
As far as interest, yeah seems a bit quiet lately. I’m in the process of starting up a business and hardly have time to do anything. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
It also doesn’t help that Lemmy is still a pretty small platform. And the other problem is there is so much hate for ai here. Which is pretty funny considering how many people are actually paying for it.

Just finished setting up backups for my home network projects. Something I’d been putting off for a while. :D

Recently switched to Harry’s. I like the body wash. No complaints.

Surprised Pikachu face

One more reason to move to Linux. At least you can always pick another flavor in case one does this. Windows and Apple users likely won’t get much choice.
I can only imagine FreeBSD requiring something like this haha

I really like them both, but I liked the dark, evil look just a bit more. @thelsim@sh.itjust.works wins!

Thanks! I’m happy with the way it came out. :D

Welcome to the club

But it said it was up, so it must be true.

It started when someone saw a cat and went “psspsspss”. The rest is history.

The internet needs a reboot. It was never designed for security, privacy or Black Friday deals. It was for sharing information.
Also, with so many tools and sites that are getting behind paywalls, it’s going to be something only the wealthy can afford.
All good. Just wanted to be sure I had the whole story, also.
