However in their earnings call they reported smth like 1 billion in revenue, and, while I wasn’t clear on whether it’s everything or just GTA6, that would still mean people placed anywhere between 5-14 million preorders. I mean to me it’s staggering that so many would preorder a game without seeing a single non-cgi frame, no preorder bonus and no physical release, but to each their own.

Fiduciary responsibility or not, Sony is a big company with their fingers dipped in a lot of stuff, and decisions have a lot of inertia. The moment we learned they retooled some factories it was clear this has been in the making for a while and they will not back off. Sony (or at least the playstation division) is compromised and we need to focus on alternative solutions.

Yeah, it appears they’re two distinct statements. One is “people can safely consume up to 400mg a day” and the other is “doing so (drinking coffee) may have health benefits”. Strangely worded article for sure.

This doesn’t make a lot of sense to me either:

Why would the manner in which the coffee is prepared matter - assuming the final amount of ingested caffeine being the same? Maybe we DO need more research into this.

Honestly Forza Horizon 3. I can probably list a heap of issues I have with this franchise, but they’re good driving games and I arrived late to the party wishing I picked FH3 while it was still in its prime. That game has such a vibe.

Apparently some Forza5 achievements in some unpopular gamemode that nobody really bothered with. And some rare Anno2205 ones which may or may not have been unlocked legitimately. All around 0.3%.

I don’t get it - what’s the market for an overpriced ( even by today’s standards ) non-upgradeable but “build it yourself” desktop pc? Is it because its a prebuilt server? Or just the fancy case?

Gave it a try for a couple of hours to see what the fuss is about. It’s not bad, like a cross between a survival craft/ pokemon game / animal crossing, but very casual and dad-friendly. Haven’t seen many bugs but there’s some jank here and there. Story bits are pretty meh and I’m not really seeing it have a lot of staying power, but that might just be me not being familiar with pokemon games.
