When I got into Tsukihime I realized it was just Twilight for male 20 somethings, and that’s when I finally understood

It’s the lesser of two evils vs. for-profit dating apps.
“Threaten the rule of law” is what SovCits would like to think their movement is big enough to do.
Black voters aren’t thrilled with Biden but dislike Trump more
Unfortunately there are only a few cities where this is a reasonable ask in the United States, and none I know of are in Texas. Most are in colder parts of the country.
The Texas state government’s path forward here is to do what they can to pedestrianize and densify their cities, but that’s a long term project.

There are security concerns. Cars are the worst product category for privacy. The issue is that goes for all cars, not just cars from opposing superpowers.
Pretty much, the Republican party all the way up to Trump doesn’t even hide that they’re anti-Democracy, and attempts to break democratic systems that underpin our entire government nay our way of life are basically out in the open.
Hope it’s not as bad as I think (“as bad as I think” means “mass killings;”) What else can I do? Everyone else here seems to be privileged enough to have the skills or plain cash to say “I’ll go somewhere else,” isn’t as worried as they should be, or think they’re Apocalypse Badass Man (see: accelerationists.) That’s not me. I’m unskilled, poor, I have the self-introspection to know I don’t have what it takes to be a revolutionary.
Are they growing somewhere else?
Game Pass is a profoundly stupid decision. It doesn’t make it’s money back and now Xbox users are used to not paying for games. And from a consumer perspective, enshittification always eventually happens with subscriptions.
FOSS is strongly supported by communists, but there’s also strong support for it from right-libertarians (when I was younger I remember the stereotype being that Linux users believed taxation was theft)
(I agree that the way FOSS operates is anarcho-communist in nature; I just think people with fringe politics are more likely to support FOSS in general)
USA is Easy mode. It’s just that Western Europe, Australia, Japan, and Canada are Very Easy mode.
Just Linux usually.
GNU/Linux if I need to differentiate most Linux distros from non-GNU OSes using the Linux kernel such as Android, Chrome OS, and Alpine.
KaiOS (which has a fairly specific reason to exist that doesn’t apply to most iOS or Android users) notwithstanding I don’t see a third competitor gaining any serious traction (traction = apps actually existing = phone actually being usable) this late into the game.
I’m no combat expert, but I’ve heard some people say numbers don’t win modern wars so a draft isn’t necessary.
With China in particular it would be poking the bear; recruitment is on the decline in both China and USA.
A while back I remember hearing “dying” was only accurate in the West, but that was a matter of years ago so it may or may not still be true.

To me it sounds like this is saying they’d have to make their own hardware if they wanted to make Dreamcast or Saturn Mini, not that they intend to do so.
I personally think that’s the only likely scenario where there’d be war on American soil.
