All the species who’ve gone extinct and just one of them couldn’t have been mosquitoes?
Wait until you hear there’s a town in NY named Gotham–pronounced GOthum.
Fucking yes. @ArbitraryMary@lemmy.world for world president.
I have some questions you might ask yourself:
What is the count of those vs. the number of surrendered Russians being treated well?
Which one is more likely to be in the news?
Which one is more likely to be spread around by Russian bots?
Which will be more likely to be suppressed?
I see where you’re coming from. It’s like tolerating the intolerant. There is a point where Ukraine needs to choose between total destruction by Russia, or doing whatever it takes to get their land and people back.
It’s not like Russia is held accountable for war crimes. Why would we be so critical of Ukraine when no one is doing anything to stop the atrocities of Putin?
I don’t happily endorse the thermite drones, but you won’t find me playing judge on what Ukraine is doing. They didn’t start this war.
I saw plenty of Democrats holding their nose to vote for Biden, while being very vocal about his age and cognition. I don’t see any criticism about Trump from his base. They shun any Republican politician who speaks out against him, so all we get is softballs from those not up for re-election again.
I mean, why do you think Biden stepped down? It was pressure from voters, pressure from donors, and pressure from a ton of elected democrats. Where is that pressure on Trump?
Woah! Usually that’s for a specific body of water or specific fish species. Do you live downstream from a superfund site?
Dear diary, today the internet delivered. Cheers to your GIMP learning journey!
Oh, so that’s who they’ve got running the media these days. That makes sense.
Ok, I’m going to reply like you’re being serious. It is a tool and it’s out there and it’s not going anywhere. Do we allow ourselves to imagine how it can be improved to help students or do we ignore it and act like it won’t ever be something students need to learn?
Doing the lord’s work. Thank.
This all comes back to supporting young men and men in finding positive social groups and support systems that don’t have extreme ideology attached. In the absence of a general, common avenue to community for men, it seems like these edge groups will continue to leverage that component to lure them in.
The first sentence of this comment says everything. If a technology that is still ironing out its capabilities is able to get kids almost to the level of in-person instruction, think of the potential when used in tandem with teachers, or even when it has matured into a polished version of itself.
How many of these kids knew how to leverage a GPT while avoiding common pitfalls? Would they have performed even better if given info on creating prompts for studying?
LLMs/GPT, and other forms of the AI boogeyman, are all just a tool we can use to augment education when it makes sense. Just like the introduction of calculators or the internet, AI isn’t going to be the easy button, nor is it going to steal all teacher’s jobs. These tools need to be studied, trained for, and applied purposely in order to be most effective.
EDIT: Downvoters, I’d appreciate some engagement on why you disagree.
Agree, though their coverage of Bernie’s 2016 presidential run towed the DNC party line, which made me less sure about their neutrality. Now I tend to hit up the BBC if I want US news coverage and I don’t have time to ingest multiple sources.
The fucking sink joke! Lol
I’ve had fun learning more about it and that includes your exceptional replies. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!
Thanks for the additional context. And yeah, you’re right about the coalitions trying to control both spots.
I don’t think we can totally ignore that the 1796 Adams-Jefferson presidency was a vivid example to Congress–specifically, the congress that eventually passed the 12th amendment after the dumpster fire of the 1800 election–on the importance of relationship dynamics in getting things done.
Are we sure this isn’t a Tim and Eric bit?
