  • They’re not imaginary, they’re everywhere. Everywhere you look you’ll find people who think politics isn’t about changing things, but about adhering to idealistic moral prescriptions, or people who invert reality and think that ideas are the cause of material conditions, not the other way around: you see it whenever someone uses the concept of punitive justice based on free will and that individuals choosing evil are the root of societal problems while ignoring the material context that creates those people. There are like endless examples of these liberals; liberalism is the dominant ideology that is so prevalent it can pretend to be apoliticalism.

  • Libs again being completely out of touch with reality (and ableist).

People don’t become uneducated because they’re mentally defective, they become uneducated because schools get underfunded. People don’t just become drug addicts, they get addicted to drugs because of mental illness and the stress that comes from being poor. Religiosity also tends to decrease when people are exposed to more non-religious people and when the need for community is fulfilled by other things. Most people aren’t born with mental illness, they develop it because of their conditions.

Liberals do nothing to actually help these things then when people inevitably get stop coming to vote for candidates who will both screw them over and some people shift to the other side (which actually promises things, false fascist promises, but promises of change nonetheless) they blame the voters for being “intellectually impaired,” which conveniently isn’t a problem anyone can solve, just an unchanging fact to divert blame to and sigh over.

And when you point this out all they do is compare themselves to Republicans and say that they’re better than the alternative. I mean like c’mon, how ridiculous is this gonna get? It’s like a whole playbook on how to never do anything.

I suppose there’s no point in getting frustrated over it. I shouldn’t expect anything less; doing nothing is what liberals stand for. It is a playbook for doing nothing. They devote themselves first and foremost to the interests of capital while saying otherwise to deceive you, then when the inevitable crisis hits, they suppress the left and wear its face.

Asking them to be better really is a pointless task because the real liberals, not the people who vote for them, are lying when the say they care about your wellbeing. At best they only care about idea of individual liberty: the freedom for a homeless person to technically, hypothetically, under the law, be able to work anywhere and own private property. (Remember this is the core belief they actually stand for.) That was only progressive (and questionably so at that) back in feudalism when most people were serfs and when working for another lord or moving up classes was literally illegal. To be able to move beyond that, we have to look at our society / mode of production through a materialist lens or else solutions to systemic flaws will completely elude us and we will only be able to condescendingly complain, throwing useless moral aphorisms and platitudes against our problems.

  • I like draft dodgers, though.

This is just a bunch of lib slop. Like would it be better if a president was one with a vision, and a successful business person? Or if we had a president who was tough with our enemies, but not to an excessive degree?

None of these virtues this long lib-rant espouses I agree with, they would be the virtues of someone totally opposed to me. I would much rather my enemies be incompetent and baffoonish, but this person Oliver Kornetzke clearly doesn’t see Amerikkka as his enemy, he seems to love the USA actually. He’s just lamenting that the glory days of the empire are gone now.

  • But also, I might recommend you to maybe not insult people to the extreme when defending someone from a racist remark. White people making a scene to prove that they’re not racist can be really embarrassing to everyone involved.

The difference is between genuine protectiveness and trying to prove that you’re not racist, you shouldn’t be doing the latter.

It’s a racist shitpost. Doing this to people you think are Chinese is totally not an acceptable thing to do at all. This is like a blatantly racist meme, regardless of your position on tankies, like they even made them type with broken English. The Chinese scammer that says “fuk you.”

It also insinuates that Asian people are aligned politically with the country of their origin, which is like classic anti-Asian racism.

Liberals become like blood and soil nationalists for ethnic groups contained within the countries of their state’s enemies, but then dress it up as decolonization. You don’t want Tibetans to be free, or Tatars, Uyghurs, Kurds, or any of those ethnic groups conveniently only in Russia, or China, or Iran.

It’s obvious that you have ulterior motives.

What you are actually insinuating when you say things like that, is that the US or NATO or whatever should go in and support the separatist faction to balkanize those countries and weaken them. Like the neocolonialist playbook.

Or a more subtle variation on that where instead of saying we all should outright support insurrection/regime change in [Country opposing Western imperialism] you say that we shouldn’t support them against US/NATO aggression because they have [insert internal issue] and that makes them deserve it, or that they’re both bad so don’t support either side.

On the off chance you don’t want that, ask yourself: what can you actually do to help [issue] in [China, Russia, Iran, DPRK, etc.]? And if you live in the West, the answer is:

Almost nothing, those problems have to be solved by people over there, but you can help, by protecting them against your terrorist-ass government.

  • I have been part of an org a while ago that was opposing military and finance support of Israel. Nothing illegal, though.

Things will change when a critical mass of people reach the point where they have nothing left to lose.

Whole bunch of people I know are literally dying. I don’t care about the comfort of the people who want uninterrupted brunch while that goes on.

  • No, you see, the trick you’re pulling is blaming the global South for supposed barbarism when it is the West that profits off of those horrors and maintains them via it’s monopolistic control over finance, oil, and other essential commodities required for development, and this system of extraction from poor countries into the rich countries that you consider to have superior cultures is enforced by imperialist militaries and comprador oppressive governments.

You cannot say that Arab culture is worse than Western culture when you are dependent on oil being parasitically extracted from Arab countries with nearly zero profits from it actually improving the lives of the people there. You cannot say that Indian culture is worse, when you literally benefit off of workers there living in worse conditions because that means the agricultural / chemical / industrial products produced there can be cheaper and it means you can have a higher quality of life because everyday consumer goods are cheaper.

Iran is a great example: If one country of the supposed lesser cultures stops exporting oil, then your precious Western Civilization starts shriveling up like a leech.
