So, BIG project due end of year (wasn’t enough time in the first place) has had a sudden and abrupt change of course. Because of course it has. All our comms and training material need to be completely redone. And I’m finding the phrase “Do it yourselves motherfuckers” is rolling around in my head, but not yet my lips. edit: gonna delete the teams here, but rest assured they are all idiots.

And the only thing we all have in common is we think the project is unrealistic, deliverable and the head of IT is an idiot.

    bloody hell

i’ve got a yucky intolerance response to some fruit yoghurt, ( yes, I had a lacteeze ) lips on fire, eyes burning. Extra lactose in the recipe perhaps? Not too pleased about it.

That’s concerning and doesn’t seem typical for lactose intolerance. Are you sure you haven’t developed an allergy to the milk protein?

From what I know it’s allegedly some pro-Palestine hacker group that’s trying to punish the American government for supporting Israel?

Dumbfucks don’t seem to know that the two aren’t related

It could also be anti-Palestine people trying to bring backlash, or just internet trolls claiming credit and saying the most divisive things possible… all there is to go on so far is what they say.

I don’t know. I am really just struggling to believe they’re genuinely that stupid.

If they have the intelligence to do that, and care so much that they go to those lengths… you’d think there would be some research.

TGIF. Not much to do today except make some tutorials out of some meetings I had last week.

Then dinner with a friend, getting some new glasses (finally) and maybe an amp to make my current setup stereo instead of just mono.

    Enjoy your day everyone ❤️

Have made a Dr appointment for tomorrow. I’ve got these weird things which came up on my arms in a few spots in the past couple of weeks. Thought they were ringworm or similar fungal thing, was treating them with OTC topical cream. Was wondering how TF I got it. But the cream didn’t work and they’ve flared up hugely as a result of my treatment 😳☹️ The same thing happened with my feet a couple of years ago; I thought it was tinea, treated it accordingly and the whole situation got instantly massively worse and it turned out to be eczema.

Over the last 2 or 3 days I’ve ended up with I think hives or something?

I thought it was something I ate or something to myself but maybe it’s a statewide thing going on at the moment?

Might be stress-related psoriasis. I have that in my hairline and the outside of my elbows, and its a pain to deal with. Cortisone cream works quite well. If the things are scaly patches that flake off leaving a red sore mark. Might be worth raising this with the dr.

I have psoriasis, behind my ears. It rarely comes up on my face but doesn’t stick around. I’ve tried so much to treat it, and I really think it’s stress/mental health. So annoying. Been there since I was a kid, but usually migrates every few years slightly.

I have a new cream to try though, so we’ll see how that plays out.

His lordship’s had a massive eczema flare as well and he’s usually not prone. Must be something in the air

He’s prone to psoriasis sometimes, but this is definitely eczema (my sister is allergic to bloody everything and has been her entire life, i’m welllllllllll acquainted with that shit). I suspect it may be because he’s living in ducted heating for the first time in 16 years.

I come out in hives that could be anything from stress to chemical sensitivity to a virus or mast cells.

Be careful if you try cortisone cream - maybe patch test it first before slathering it all over. As I find it just causes redness and stinging for me

got my first round of eczema earlier this year (which i ignored and used the wrong stuff on until i finally saw a GP a few months later for something else), a ridiculous amount of moisturiser every few hours and a little cortisone did the trick

Tinea cream can make eczema worse and vice versa, and the skin breakdown from eczema can mean fungal infections take hold more easily, too. My dr suggested mixing a little of both treatment creams together, if either single treatment wasn’t working.

It might be contact dermatitis or something like that - have you been using any new products lately?

I ordered some regular baby items from Chemist Warehouse online. I’m hoping they track the transaction on my account and send me emails when they stuff goes on sale again. You’ve got to use surveillance capitalism to your benefit sometimes.

But… I just want milk that tastes like real milk

I hate that to survive I must trawl through specials and deals, that are still more costly than the specials and deals a few years ago.

I almost wish I didn’t move into an apartment that gets so little sun; could have had a garden and grown some food to offset some costs.

Low fat, not fat, Full Creme, High Calcium, High Protein, Soy, Light, Skim Omega 3 or… (something) with extra Dollop?

Just off the top of my head I think I did ok there.

I understand that. Things would be so much better if housing also included things like chicken coops and greenhouses. There’s a chapter about it in The Conquest of Bread and it makes me sad thinking about what we could have had

For the metal heads in here, a new Blood Incantation album just dropped. It incorporates their prog elements with their metal side of things really well. First impressions are I really like it and it just might be my album of the year.

I wish! Been every other year, but couldn’t afford it this time :(

Are you more interested in the video games? Or the board games? Dice?

I always loved the miniature painting and the team games with the motion controllers they do. And trying out all the board games and card games they have. I also like going to the talks they do, some are so so interesting. And then all the cosplay, people put so much effort, time and love into making amazing displays, and I am just in awe everytime I see them.

      Not this year.

I went once in the ages ago and had a good time, went to a few talks like for The Witcher 3, struggling to remember what else since it was from awhile ago.
