Usually my main mods are Legacy of the Dragon born, CACO, (if I’m playing a vampire) Sacrosanct, Ordinator, Mundus and Aetherius a standing stone and race overhaul respectively, frost fall and sunhelm (the air ship from legacy makes it fast travel with extra steps). Let’s see what else. Some community shader light mod that makes the white tables in dungeons contain the power of the sun
I’m at like 280 mods (I think 50 are from and Vanagrad, Goetia, and Leviathan pack) and my modlist still requires this Skyrim.exe thing to boot so clearly that’s not enough
As you can tell I don’t talk about Skyrim modding with my friend group
Hey, there! Random as hell, but Sacrosanct made me think of something. I see a majority of Nexus Mods Collections for Skyrim include Sacrosanct. I am wondering what you like about it, say, compared to Better Vampires? I use BV every playthrough, but was always interested in understanding why Sacrosanct is the preferred mod for so many people? :)
I haven’t used better vampires but with sacrosanct your powers are stronger when you’ve fed and weakness are less. Vampire lord perk tree is huge and one branch being its hemomancy in mortal form
Even if your a regular vampire you can drain people to unlock new mortal form blood magic. Like blood seed as a damage over time, make corpses explode, a damage over time then explode, profaned sun which is an orb that follows the target. It’s basically a spell that goes “you know what I’m not a fan of everything in that general direction”. Usually my mage vampires only use hemomancy.
You also unlock passives and abilities by draining victims then sleeping, such as gaining a blood potion with each drain (go to markarth to stock up then use night walk (mist form) to jump down to the tavern and sleep), blood seed enhancing damage from other sources, a dash/teleport ability, and more
There’s probably a lot more I missed but the mod page does a better job explaining it
Another mod sacrilege, is what I used years before when I only used the in game mods (this is before AE) and only sacrilege was available
Edit: didnt finish my thought. Sacrilege is good for small changes to vampires
Ah! I think I understand better now, thank you! I think I’ve always used Better Vampires for the customization aspect, so maybe that’s why in Sacrosanct I didn’t really understand why my vampire was so different! :p
Once you get into Wabbajack modding, that number will quickly increase. I’m at… checks MO2 list 814 mods. And now I’m at the ESP cap of 254, so I’ve gotta be really selective with mods, as they need to be ESL, and unlike Vortex, There’s no easy way to mark ESPs as light without using edit scripts.
But lucky you /s, I don’t have a friend group to talk with this chaos to… Discord chats ever so often tho.
Wonderful! Adding mod after mod is fun and all, but I do yearn for the day I can say the game is “complete”. Modding has still become its own game to me, and my roomies actually have told me I like that more than playing the games I mod. They… aren’t wrong :P
It’s most definitely true. The game consists of adding mods until it breaks the Gamebryo/Creation Engine, then Todd Howard climbs out of your monitor and forces you to play Starfield, day one edition. It consists only of load screens.

Yeah I’m pretty happy with my modlist RN tho
Lots of small tweaks and some big ones as well as adding new content like wyrms tooth
After playing Skyrim on and off for a couple years I think I’m finally done with major changes

So I hear rumors that’s there’s a game inside all our modlists
Do you think that’s actually true or just one of those scary stories
