I lived in England for a while decades ago and HATED the weather because it rained so much. Now I see I was in one of the driest parts of the UK. 😂
3m of precipitation is nuts
Cape Curig in northern Wales has the second heaviest rainfall in Europe with 2700mm with 206 days a year. The first place goes to Cetinje in Montenegro, which has 3300mm during the rainy season. They have less rain than English towns in July, and then they get 300-500mm a month in October through March, averaging 136 days of rain.
I will never respect the Crown Copyright. My great great great uncle’s cousin wasn’t a privateer hired to fight in the Battle of New Orleans just so his ancestors would avoid piracy on orders from the King of England.
That’s okay because there hasn’t been a King of England since 1702.
William III “fell” off a horse my ass. We all know what Denmark did.
See, all that stuff about London being the rainiest city is total bollocks
Do people say that? I’ve never heard that about London. Manchester though…
Manchester’s rep for rain is way overstated - even “Rain Bar” is so called because the building was an umbrella factory. It’s actually all in the lee of the hills and mountains, as you’d expect.
I’m shocked that Manchester isn’t bluer
What do the lines represent? Don’t seem to line up with any regions I can think of.
