There is an explanation regarding the veto circulating in a Cuban Telegram that I follow. Let me know your thoughts:
🇷🇺🇨🇳🇵🇸 A lot of people are upset that China and Russia didn’t veto yesterday’s UN Security Council resolution. But that reaction is emotional, not strategic. Here’s the reality.
Because the Palestinian Authority supported the resolution, Beijing and Moscow were not going to veto something the recognized Palestinian government itself endorsed. That’s the entire principle of multipolarity: respecting sovereignty, even when you disagree with the decision being made.
And that’s exactly what China and Russia did. They honored the position of the Palestinian Authority, and they still made their objections clear by speaking out forcefully and abstaining. That abstention was not weakness; it was a very public, very deliberate protest.
This is what sovereignty looks like. This is what a post-unipolar world looks like.
Yeah, but at the end of the day, China continues to be consistent in its approach. They’ve made it clear that they won’t interfere in other countries’ matters for ideological reasons. They’re going to let capitalism’s contradictions do it’s thing and focus on its own development.
It’s not my favourite approach but interfering in other countries’ domestic issues never works out. It just alienates a chunk of population that becomes rife for anti-communist radicalization.
Russia has a lot of ties with Israel that they won’t break, especially with the fact that they’re at war with NATO.
It’s a terrible situation all around for the Palestinians

With the psychological and intelligence capabilities of the United States, I strongly believe this is the reason they don’t try to meddle in the affairs of other nations.
It’s the stepping stone to reach a socialist world. Think about the mass line and cadre line but in a worldwide scenario.
The multipolar world is like the protests done through mass organization. Within the mass organization, you will find people with plenty of types of ideology but with a common and specific goal as we usually see with the pro palestinian protests. Not everyone in the pro palestinian protests are socialist, correct? Same case with the pro multipolar world and anti West countries.
It is a simplification but that’s my perspective. Also this is why I think it is valuable to go through this stepping stone to defeat imperialism. With small but firm steps forward, we will reach our goal for socialism.
This is from a server where they were having a discussion based on this report:
But the leadership of the Palestinian people is Hamas, not the Palestinian Authority. They’re despised by Palestinians and are active Zionist collaborators. You can’t just say “well the PA are the Palestinian people’s government sooo”

Hamas rejected the proposal
Also the Arab states are US client states haha
This is what I mean ‘multipolarity’ literally abandons class politics
You can’t take the Arab US client states, the Palestinian Authority (all of these the bourgeoisie or the comprador bourgeoisie who that are client states of imperialism and literally imposed dictatorships on the masses) and say they represent the Palestinian people
That’s like saying Chile’s Pinochet government represented the Chilean people lol
Did any of these states ask Hamas? Palestinian Islamic Jihad? The PFLP? The actual resistance who lead the actual liberation movement? No. 🤣
And yes, you could argue that they are seen as terror groups so it’s risky to have actual diplomatic relations with them, but that does not make the Palestinian Authority legitimate
Its been quite clear that the “new world order” china and russia want to do isnt “socialist world police force” but simply letting countries do their thing. This has a much higher likelihood of leading to socialism AND getting states to actually sign off on a non-american led world.
Most of the global souths leadership is still capitalist in nature, only a few government actually do represent commonpeople.

But we know the PA is just an Israeli puppet…soooo still lost here

Man. It’s rough to come to terms with the fact that multipolarity doesn’t mean a socialist world.

As long as china reigns supreme
I agree with that analysis. In fact i just wrote something similar myself: https://lemmygrad.ml/comment/7322303
Wasnt that always the goal that the Palestinian authority gets to control Gaza?
