    Yeah I’m not sure what this is supposed to achieve. If they both block all traffic then nothing will get out? I don’t think much was getting through before anyway.

      The idea is to ensure that Iran cannot charge for passage - and to buy time for a sufficent fleet buildup that they can clear the strait by force. Strategically it wouldn’t be a bad move if everything about the situation surrounding this war were completely different.

        I mean, what’s stopping Iran from charging for passage anyway? I didn’t think them charging was that big of a deal anyway, they were talking about a 1% toll per barrel. The average gas station profits more than that.

      I think they are trying to force the hands of China and India? Its a stupid idea but I think that’s what they are attempting
