Would there even be a human race? If ghosts existed think of all the animal ghosts, think of all the dinosaur ghosts.

I once worked out how fast the earth would move away from you if this was the case. I think it was something like 25,000 meters per second.

So every year the earth revisits a given spot in the ghost trail?

So the closest ghosts, on any given day, are the ones who died on the same date. So the death anniversary of a loved one would mean they are at their nearest point.

Well no, since our entire solar system is also moving. While we may return to a point that’s similar to last year relative to the sun, we’ve still moved in relation to everything outside that frame.

Think of a car moving down the highway and you’re in the back seat. You scoot over to the other side, throw some trash out the window, then scoot back. In relation to the car you’re back where you started, in relation to the trash you threw… You’re down the highway you filthy litterer.

By this logic, with the speed the earth moves through the galaxy, ghosts could just be 100% real and we’d never know cause they’re all instantly trapped out in space for an eternity

I just have to die at a very specific velocity so my ghost is propelled along the elliptic that our planet follows.

        Checkmate atheists.

Really? I mean, I mostly hate billionaires.

Wait, how many people can a single ghost take out over the course of its existence? Can a billionaire ghost take out more people than one who died below the poverty level? How long is a ghost’s existence? Is it unable to move on because it hasn’t yet eradicated everyone it wants to? What if it is just unable to for whatever reason? Does it simply roam the Earth forever harming other people that it didn’t even intend to originally?

Maybe, disdain for those people is one thing, but European powers have engaged in ethnic cleansing and genocide over the past 500 years on a global scale inconceivable in previous eras of human history, in part because it wasn’t possible with the tech available during most of that time.

Every country in the Global South has a horror story associated with people of European descent (not present day, from the past) which is pretty far reaching if you think about it, as they make up 80% of humanity.

That’s not something anyone today needs to necessarily feel bad about personally but the systems of exploitation that concentrated wealth amongst the 20% still exist today in different forms.

Just ask Emmanuel Macron who is marching around Africa to find another region to exploit after Sahel countries (Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso) united in ridding themselves of French neocolonialism.

Violent settlement, transatlantic slavery, indentured servitude, the creation of a global race based caste system. It’s not that some semblance of these concepts didn’t exist everywhere. It’s the scale and persistence that matters.

This is the funniest and most accurate skeptic claim I as a white man and paranormal investigator have ever seen. I swear, lack of sun exposure killed something in the Caucasian male’s self preservation instinct. I think it was having to go out in Nordic snow.

There’s enough ghosts of all the people genocided by white people that if they got their revenge, barely any whites would survive

Let’s see, are you talking about Yoda, one of the most powerful Force users we know of, after literally becoming one with the Force, having the power to summon lightning on a planet that is stated to be intricately connected with the Force and the Jedi, or are you talking about the scene where the whole point is that Luke’s force projection could have no physical impact, but Kylo still let that get to him, thereby perfectly encapsulating both of their arcs?
