Why are we still punishing Cuba
We failed to overthrow their government like 60 years ago and I never understood why we continued fucking them.
USA wants a neocolony there which will sell off all property to USA for a paltry price.
The right are royally pissed they haven’t collapsed under their own weight yet. We have a prime example of communism not devolving into a hellscape less than 100 miles from our shores.
I didn’t understand until I walked around Havana. The amount of absolute mansions the Yankees had there is insane. They have all been appropriated and turned into social things like housing and schools and clinics.
But it was USAs party playground, and they are mad they got kicked out.
How is it legal for USA to be doing what it’s doing to Cuba?
It’s not, but The Empire makes the rules.
US Cruelty knows no bounds.
If Cuba becomes the first solarpunk utopia because of America’s stupidity, that will be pretty fitting.
If they were smart they would be installing solar fields and batteries. This is especially important for island nations.
It is, but solar fiels aren’t spectacularly robust constructions - a significant factor in a region subject to increasingly powerful hurricanes and tropical storms.
You make good points. I still think solar cells are going to be the most practical. It would be a neat place for a fusion reactor now that they are going commercial.
US blockading Cuba and Hormuz is no joke one of the greatest accelerators for renewables and EVs worldwide. China must be happy.
