    zuck did immeasurable harm to vr by trying to dominate the field. utter decimation of expectations. he made a fool out of all of it.

    i like what i’ve seen about the steam frame so far and look forward to having one hopefully. never, not once, not ever, shall i pressure anyone else into it; it’s a personal interest, personal to ME and others who choose to adopt it.

      Gee, it’s almost like pressuring people into something makes it super not enjoyable for anyone. Anywho, I’m off to Google something only to scroll past the AI generated response I didn’t ask for and can’t disable.

      I partially disagree. It got standalone VR much more popular. I dislike all the Facebook stuff but as far as the headset goes, it is genuinely decent. Like I personally use a Lenovo explorer so it’s about as cheap as it gets. But there are times I wish I got a quest because I could get away with wireless streaming from my PC.

      It is a good compromise from all angles but I’m betting Facebook/meta is subsidizing the shit out of it.
