And people act like I’m some kind of crazy person when I say that when you resolve to vote blue no matter who, you only incentivize the blue candidates to appeal to republicans. I just didn’t expect it to be this overt

As an outside observer it seems like every blue is better than red, the best strategy is choosing which blue before the election.

For sure, but it’s hard to overstate just how much influence the DNC has. Every blue is better than every red, but by resolving to vote blue no matter what their actual positions are, we are trading short term harm reduction for long-term harm multiplication.

Before long we’re going to have the DNC force in a candidate who wants to jail trans people, and they will be slightly preferable to the republican who wants trans people executed. I want to avoid that eventuality, and that means demonstrating that being against human rights loses you the leftist vote.

Nor does the party at large, they actively work against their own members, if the members are considered “too progressive”. They fund MAGA opponents in several races.

The BEST way for Democrats to Gain Power is to Cater to People who LOVE voting Democrat! Cater to People who want to MURDER DEMOCRATS!

Literally true when half of their voters are committed to voting for them no matter what their policies are. The actual best strategy is to move to the right. “Vote blue no matter who” was always going to lead to this

Sad thing is, it’s kind of true (or at least was). In a two party system, its not a bad strategy to try gain electors from the other party, as the ppl more radically from your side will vote for you rather than the other party. Now then, the political spectrum and Overton window shifted so much to the right that it is not sufficient to just exist and be the “lesser evil”.

Its not. In a 2-party system, the parties geneally move to equalize around a 50-50 split of the population. However, in a country where around half the eligiable voters show up, voter turnout is a much bigger lever to pull. Obama and Trump both figured that out. Alienating your base is the opposite of smart.

Less than half of the electorate votes, yet the democrat strategy is to try to appeal to the one group of people who make it very clear they’re going to vote for the other team.
This is not a good strategy, as can be seen by how rarely it works (and even when it works it is by a slim margin)

No. It’s literally a bad strategy. Elections are about to turn out. The best way to win elections is to get your base to come out to vote. When you literally threaten their lives and threaten the lives of people they care about they’re going to stay home.

You know why you preach to the choir? Because that’s how you get them to sing.

Their brilliant strategy is to come to a black church and arrogantly tell the choir “if you don’t vote blue no matter who, then you ain’t black!”

It depends on how they gain people from the other party. The Democrats could gain them by giving them better health-care, or fewer wars, or by making the rich pay taxes, or by providing affordable housing, or by improving their jobs.

But the Democrat strategy is to gain them by supporting genocide, and attacking marginalized groups.

Ummm actually acknowledging reality is russian propaganda and youre only allowed to say anything mean about Democrats for about two weeks after the election. As we all know if you dont say anything negative then republicans aren’t allowed to do it either. My strategy of voting for democrats and never making any demands of them is incredibly realistic, just look at how much we’re winning and all the progressive genocide we’re doing!

Akshually, If all the genocidee had died quietly instead of moaning and crying so loudly, Democrats could’ve wrapped up the genocide quicker.

Also, the anti-genocide (aka aunty-semites since Gazans are semitic people) didn’t listen to the orders of The Party. Vote Blue No Matter Who! Which is how you got Donald Trump. Donald is Not an ally of the trans people. By extension, all anti-genocide aunties of semites automatically hate trans people.

Basically, the anti-genocide protesters are transphobic for refusing to vote blue unconditionally.

Vote Blue No Matter Who otherwise you’re a transphobe.

Folks can we please treat “trans” like the adjective it is. I’m not a “transwoman” or a “transperson” I am a woman and a person, and I am trans, I am also tall. A trans woman, a trans person. A tall woman, a tall person.

    “doctor”

EDIT: Uh-oh, she’s a pediatrician who hates trans people? I don’t like where this is going. Probably an island somewhere.

EDIT 2: This “doctor” is almost tied in the polls with Darlene Graham https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_United_States_Senate_election_in_South_Carolina#Polling_5

EDIT 3: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annie_Andrews_(pediatrician)#Policies_and_viewpoints "In an October 5, 2026, Truth Social post, Trump used anti-LGBT slurs against Andrews, calling her “Annie Trannie”. Andrews is not transgender.[31] The post was widely condemned.[32][33] Several days after Trump’s post, Andrews released an ad saying that she opposed “biological men playing women’s sports” and would not allow “gender surgery for minors”.

This is fucking crazy. I’ve seen others do this before. Trump threw a slur at her and she basically said “Actually, thank you Donald, I’m on your side!”

This is the same exact losing strategy the centrist democrats have been attempting to use for the last 20 years. They want “broad appeal” which basically means virtue signalling to bigoted republican voters who are going to mechanically vote for the person with the R next to their name no matter what any democrat says or does. And yet, they keep trying and turning their backs on the left as if to say, “we don’t need you to win”.

Until these awful people are ejected from the democratic party or the DSA gains more momentum, this bullshit is just going to keep happening.

Compromise is when there are two equally valid ways, but this is never that. One set of policies benefits the majority for healthy people and high quality of life. The other is meant to benefit the wealthy and keep the majority subservient to the owners, and worse health and life outcomes.

it’s a big tent. being open to many ideas is a good thing. being so open minded your brains fall out, not so much. finding that sweet spot where they can be inclusive, but not allow the bigots and asshats is harder than just going with bigotry as your standard - see the GOP.
