I guess you can harden your water, safer than the microplastics
If you’re going to boil it anyway, why not just distill it instead of filtering after you’ve boiled it?
Distilling takes a lot more energy. Once water hits boiling point the energy to turn it to steam is far more than heating it up 1°C when it isn’t boiling.
Then you get the bonus of putting the microplastics in the air so they can go straight to your lungs instead of your stomach.
The article literally says they get trapped in the calcium that encrusts your boiling apparatus soooo… Try again?
