Summary

Donald Trump signed an executive order rolling back transgender and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies, reversing key measures introduced by Joe Biden.

The new order declares the federal government will recognize only two genders and bans agencies from promoting gender transitions.

Federal documents, prisons, and agencies must comply.

Trump also targeted environmental justice grants and diversity training programs.

Civil rights groups condemned the move, pledging legal challenges.

Don’t worry. According to Russians ideological purists, this outcome is better for my trans son than if Kamala Harris had won.

Now if you’ll pardon me, I have to get back to working on moving my family out of this shit-hole country.

Sorry, I made the only decision I could. Every fucking day I listened to the stories and testimony coming out of Gaza. It was either vote against the genocide or do something much more drastic. I wouldn’t have survived voting for genocide. I hung on because I chose to believe the Axis of Resistance could hang on and keep fighting until a ceasefire. And they did!

Instead of punching left at people who wouldn’t vote for genocide, punch right at the transphobes that want to kill us. If you want to be mad at me, be mad at me. I can handle it. But you’re gonna have to work with me if we’re gonna get through this together.

We were trying to work together to stop the fascists but too many people like you let perfect be the enemy of the good. Now we can only hope that there will be something to save in four years.

If you actually believe we need to stop the fascists, you can’t just wait four years to try again. Fuck this “we can only hope” loser talk. We can do a hell of a lot more than that! If you really believe this is a fascist takeover, start acting like it.

You didn’t vote for trump but that isn’t relevant.

You need to get off your ideological high horse and study game theory.

            You Helped Trump

This presidency is partially your fault.

Personally, if it’s my rights vs being a part of a genocide I’m ready to get my passport revoked.

It’s not like I had money to flee the country, and my retirement plan was already to die in the water wars.

                You voted for Trump.

You could have voted for Harris, worked hard to convince others to vote for Harris (who instead chose not to vote), and done everything else in your power to prevent Trump from coming into power. You didn’t. So you voted for Trump. That’s the reality of a two-party system.

I got my name/gender markers updated a few years ago.

The Democrats lost the election due to a combination of their support of Israel (and corresponding economic impacts) and their terrible campaign/no primary. If you’re looking for people to blame they’re not on your left.

You’ve got to be fucking kidding me. It means good luck getting a passport or any other federal documentation with your actual gender on it. It means drugs and medical treatments that are approved at the federal level for gender transition won’t be available anymore. It means if you live in a state that isn’t friendly to trans people, you are going to suffer.

So it means trans people are fucked. How do you not know this?!?

And it’s not like the issue with Palestine is better under Trump. We had the choice between a candidate who would at least try to put pressure on Netanyahu… and one who will happily do whatever is asked of him by extreme evangelical Christians who believe Israel needs to be dominant in the Middle East so Jesus will come back.

How the fuck does anyone conclude that the Democrat is bad in comparison to that?

First they came for the Communists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Jew

          Then they came for me

And there was no one left

          To speak out for me

This time around it’s started with Palestinians, democrats acting helpless to stop the genocide (while actually arming it). It does not fill me with confidence that if LGBT people became a political liability that democrats wouldn’t unite with the republicans on our extermination too.

You must have slept through the year prior to the election or been offline. This place was swamped with people who, in the name of saying Palestine was THE issue shouted continuously about ‘bLuE mAgA’ and how people need to stay away from the democratic party, which when people do that you get this as the alternative.

People were saying they weren’t willing to vote for the Democrats because they supported genocide. Say what you want about that, but it has nothing to do with trans people; literally everyone was perfectly aware they’d be worse off with a Trump victory.

It has to do with trans people because you don’t get to pick one candidate on this topic and another on that topic. By outright rejecting the democratic candidate these same people where willing to throw every minority and marginalized group in our own country under the bus for that one ideologically pure stance.

I’m gagging on the phrase “Defending Women” in the context of anything done by this rapist and his misogynist forced-birther cronies. Especially as a cynical “justification” for denying/destroying the lives of nonbinary, trans and intersex people.

(Look at Melania’s Defense Hat, she knows who women need protection from.)

Congratulations on helping fascism win, you are equally culpable for everything that happens for the next 4 years as Biden was in Gaza. And I hope you lose just as much sleep over it.
