Women have a different sort of mind than men do. Oh, uh, and men who disagree with me also have that different sort of mind.

maybe the real split in types of brains is between gender essentialists and everyone else…

“It’s the red one…no, the red one…no…RED…no, you passed it. Go back a few. There! Now was that so hard? I said it was red!”

Seems like they nailed the second half. Is this not what everyone else is picturing any time someone earnestly attempts to describe themselves as alpha?

Is…is that you in that pic? Or a general visual representation that could accurately give the impression of you?

…because those guys look like dweebs.

Yeah, that’s right. I’m bringing dweeb back. Nerds and dorks are actually kinda cool, I like them a lot. But these guys? Total dweebs! 80s vernacular is back, baby! Hasta la vista!

obligatory reminder that even the man that coined the term alpha male has relized he was fucking wrong, but the worst of humanity just fell in love with the concept and wont let it die

It seems totally plausible. Maybe the rule existed at one time.

I rode the metro on 9/11, actually. “Fun” fact?

Related to current events, and maybe you know this already – after 9/11 they changed the allowed flight paths around National such that every inbound flight is basically doing a canyon run over the Potomac. I’m willing to bet that was a contributing factor to the recent crash.

I hadn’t thought of that, but it makes sense. Thanks for pointing it out.

They do make a canyon run basically! It’s interesting to watch.

“Alphs” as in alpha software: buggy, not fit for release, a poor first approximation of useful, error-prone, almost certain to fail at the desired task, etc…
