India’s life expectancy in 1950: 34 years of age
India’s life expectancy in 1979: 49 years of age
China’s life expectancy in 1950: 40 years of age

Whoops, turns out that China gained 22 years of life expectancy where India gained 15, that’s 50% more and applied to the entire population of a country with a billion people, results in hundreds of millions of lives saved! So i thought we’re talking about how Mao’s leadership lead to famine and millions of death, and normal people will be taking a look at his “Great Leap Forward” in 1958 and compare the life expectancy of the country from the time he took office and to the time he left and the effect of the plan, so let say maybe as far back as data available since he’s the chairman of CCP to a year or two after he introduce the plan, that would be 1950 to 1959 or maybe 1960, the result would be:
1950: around 43
1959: around 44(the year he resign as the chairman of the country)
1960: around 33(2 years after he introduced the plan)
Whoops, doesn’t look too good. So now compare the same year with india for some reason:
1950: around 35
1959: around 40
1960: around 45
