I legit asked myself this when I would pretend to throw my dog’s ball or hide her toy under her blanket and then sneak it out and have her look for the toy when it’s not actually in the blanket. Does my audience think of me as God or think of themselves as stupid?

It was usually a rubber KONG toy so not really anthropomorphic

For years, my dogs favorite toy was a nerf branded football made for dogs.

He would cuddle it, and whenever he got excited and actually chewed it, he would then whimper and cry and cuddle it more, because he hurt his baby

I saw a meme a few weeks ago by a woman who was convinced that her cats cried for her to make the sun come out or to make it stop raining, not understanding that her powers are limited to light switches and the shower. I assume dogs are the same.
