Bigger tiles require a flatter floor. That’s one reason to use small tiles on the floor, or anywhere for that matter. You don’t need a perfect floor or wall.
For any room floor. I’m also not a fan of small tiles bathroom walls, I prefer simple and smooth surface bathroom wall. Colorful tiles in the kitchen are fine though.
