As with almost everything in life, the true way is the middle path. Reveal the weird systematically but toward the very beginning of the relationship.

Back when I was dating, my policy was to let any prospective love interest know the worst thing I know about myself as soon as expedient, but usually before courting. It worked, in that I got ghosted a lot of times, but usually at least promptly.
