I suspect in the end we’ll end up losing territory rather than gaining any, and we’ll be sanctioned to hell by the rest of the world and paying reparations out the ass for generations.

People figured Harris would be the same because that’s how the media played it.
They really pushed the “both sides” bullshit to keep the race close and ratings up. Now they’re about to lose their editorial freedom for it. There’s gonna be some fat leopards soon.

As much as those networks helped him by ignoring half of what he said and going over everything Harris said with a fine-toothed-comb, it’s kind of funny watching it bite them in the ass.
If they would have shown how weird he really is compared to Harris they wouldn’t be in this mess right now.
But they just couldn’t resist the ratings generated by normalizing him and keeping the race tight.
Now they’re going to lose more than they gained from that ratings spike.

People are more likely to correct someone else on incorrect information or call them out on low effort content because it satisfies an innate human need for validation.
In this case validating one’s own intelligence. People like to feel smart and the easiest way to achieve that feeling is to make someone else look less smart.

Did he do it just to get attention?
Probably.
But I don’t see any harm in calling him out for it anyway.
First, if we don’t call him out it normalizes that kind of behavior.
Second, if we’re paying more attention to him than Trump it’s going to hasten their inevitable falling out.

If he did it once, it would have been an extremely low but still non-zero chance that it wasn’t a Nazi salute.

He did it twice though, it’s now firmly a 0% chance of any kind of coincidence, misunderstanding, etc.

Thus far he’s made no comment, not even to deny the Nazi intent.
No apology, no backtrack, no denial, he did it twice.
It was exactly what it appeared to be and nothing less.

I seriously expect him to be back in jail for committing a new crime, or dead from a shootout with the police before Trump’s term is up.
These idiots are emboldened and they probably don’t understand that they were pardoned for that one crime and will think that their “celebrity” status and “get out of jail free” card will take them anywhere.

Might turn out to be a good thing in the end.
If European countries lose their dependence on the US military for protection then the US is going to have less power directing policies outside it’s own borders.

Trump and those who will follow him if he indeed does make it so we “never have to vote again”, they will have less power to drag the rest of the world in that direction.

Payroll fucked up and I didn’t get a deposit a few weeks back. They gave me the choice of waiting 2 weeks and having the deposit added to my next paycheck, which is totally undoable, or they would cut me a paper check that day.
I took the paper check.
I decided it would be easiest if I could use my Bank apps Mobile deposit but it only allowed me to access $500 of it that day, the rest had to wait until the next business day which was Monday.
If I would have thought about it I would have done it this way so I could have had access to the whole check before the weekend.
