I don’t understand what your complaint here is. It’s up to the individual countries to enforce ICC arrest warrants. The Philippines chose to enforce it. That’s a good thing. If your complaint is that other countries don’t enforce it, then you should take that up with those countries, instead of crapping all over the Philippines for doing what those other countries don’t have the courage to do.

Exactly. I would like to see what he has to offer on his own terms. Maybe I’ll support him, maybe not. But it was obvious through the entire campaign that he was holding back. The one thing he did that got the most traction in the campaign was calling Republicans “weird”, and he was told by Dem leadership to stop doing that.

It’s really hard to decide if Dems are just that incredibly incompetent, or if they are actual controlled opposition. I think it might be a combination of the two.

In this analogy, the Republicans are the shooter. Not sure how you can draw the conclusion that anyone is blaming the Dems there.

I’ll be the first to call out people for solely blaming the Dems when that’s the case. I’ve been banned from so many Reddit subs for that very thing, which is how I ended up here at Lemmy in the first place. But that’s just not the case here. What this image is saying is that the fault of the action (the shooting) lies with the Republicans, and the Democrats (the Uvalde cops) are too cowardly to do anything to stop it. It’s a pretty damn accurate description of American politics.

I was replying to a comment about how a lot of Leftist subs have been taken over by tankies. I was mentioning the growing accelerationist rhetoric among those same tankies. They don’t want to hear anything about fixing the world we live in, because there’s no glory in that, so all they focus on is armed revolution and collapse.
